Ziff Davis, the publisher of EGM, Games for Windows: The Official Magazine and 1UP.com, has filed for bankruptcy, which is not really awesome or radical. I liked EGM, but I guess video game magazines are falling out of favor since the internet came along. I guess they’re between $500 million and $1 billion in debt, which sucks for them.
This doesn’t have anything to do with Ziff Davis, but what happened to Tips & Tricks? That was my favorite video game magazine and now I don’t see it anywhere ever. Is it done? They covered a lot of interesting games that were under the radar sometimes, and had a whole section dedicated to Final Fantasy games every month.
