Castle Crashers Soundtrack

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

I was trying to figure out where to find some random pet in Castle Crashers the other day and stumbled upon a forum post about the in game music. There were various links to the files so I decided to host them here as well since I really like the music in the game. They’re named based on the game area.

Credit goes to the original artists: DavidOrr, cycerin, Urbanus, Waterflame, ParagonX9, Ian Slider (cornandbeans), and Helix6 (and any one else I missed) at Newgrounds.

Tales of Vesperia DLC

So far, I like Tales of Vesperia, it’s pretty fun. However if, at some point in the future, I no longer feel like playing the game but still want to level up I may be in luck. Japanese players can purchase additional levels, gold, and new skills. Here’s the pricing:

      Level Up +10 (1) 300 Microsoft Points
      Level Up +5 (1) 200 Microsoft Points
      300,000 Gold (1) 300 Microsoft Points
      Skill sets 80 Microsoft Points
HP Recovery Cuisine Recipe Set 100 Microsoft Points

I can only hope they bring this to the U.S. Why even play the game when I can just buy my way through it?

U.S. to Get Chrono Trigger DS Before Japan?

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

The good news is that North America gets Chrono Trigger DS on November 25th, two whole days before Japan gets it on the 27th.

The bad news is, in Japan, they get “CHRONO TRIGGER ORCHESTRA EXTRA SOUNDTRACKS” when pre-ordering the game. The CD contains two tracks, “Chrono Trigger Orchestral Version” and “Chrono Trigger Orchestral Medley.” We don’t get that.

Atlus Announces Eternal Poison

Monday, August 4th, 2008

Today Atlus announced their newest U.S. release, Eternal Poison. Titled Poison Pink in Japan, Eternal Poison is a gothic strategy RPG developed by Flight Plan (Summon Night, Black/Matrix). I didn’t get a ton out of the trailer…lots of gothic stuff going on, a white wolf, and a nuclear explosion at the end. I couldn’t find out much on Wikipedia, either, except a brief synopsis of the plot:

Poison Pink tells the story of the protagonists Tage, Olifen, and Hersh, who travel to the demon’s lair somewhere between the real world and hell to rescue a princess that has been abducted by the Besek.

The Last Guy

The Last Guy

The Last Guy is a PSN game released yesterday in Japan, and soon to be released in the U.S. In the game you control The Last Guy and rescue citizens in a town overrun by giant insects and monsters. The cities are actually high-res satellite images from Google, which is kind of cool. As it turns out, The Last Guy isn’t the last guy, because he has to save all these other guys.

Anyway, all that doesn’t matter. What does matter is you can go here and play a flash version of the game for free. The cool part is, instead of a high-res Google map image, the game “map” can be any website you want to enter. It will blow your mind, because you’ll be playing the game on this post. It automatically generates walls based on the color differences on the page. It’s kind of hard to explain, just try it. The music is totally awesome, too. And The Last Guy appears to wear a red cape.
