Sure, it took a decade but Capcom has officially announced a sequel to (in my opinion) the awesomest fighting game, ever. Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate Of Two Worlds features the same 3 on 3 battles as the previous game and is scheduled for a spring 2011 release on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Confirmed characters (based on the video):
Marvel: Iron Man, Hulk, and Wolverine Capcom: Chris Redfield, Morrigan, and Ryu
Capcom has officially revealed three new characters for Super Street Fighter IV, “martial artist Makoto, deadly ninja Ibuki and gentlemanly pugilist Dudley.” I wish I could be described as a “gentlemanly pugilist.”
Capcom has announced Super Street Fighter IV, which will be a new standalone title. The game will contain everything Street Fighter IV and add to the experience, including 8 new characters (T. Hawk, all-new female fighter, Juri), new Ultra Combos, and refinements to online play. They’ve set the release at sometime in the Spring 2010, and it will be released Xbox 360 and PS3.
The Behemoth, the developers behind Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid, are working on a new game, simply called Game 3 for now. The gameplay is described as “competitive platformer”, part Super Smash Bros. and part Bubble Bobble. I like the music.
On a related note, Castle Crashers has 1,000,000 people on the leader boards (I’m not sure if that’s a million downloads, or just users) making it the fastest growing XBLA game so far.
Capcom will be releasing a mix tape alongside their Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 release, featuring a number of well known hip-hop artists. That’s pretty awesome, but what’s even more awesome is you can grab a limited edition full-size vinyl of the album. At Comic-Con. Which is on the wrong coast for me.
Yep, it’s coming to the Playstation Network on August 13th for $15.
Attention Brawlers,
Get ready to dust off the Adamantium claws and dig through the sock drawer for Ryu’s headband. Today we’re announcing that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be available via PlayStation Network on Thursday, August 13 for $15.
Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of The King of Fighters XII will be out July 28th. I really think they did an amazing job with the graphics, I like this style more then Street Fighter IV’s. More screenshots below…
The day you ‘ ve been waiting for is just around the corner. Today we are announcing that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be available globally as part of Microsoft’ s “Summer of Arcade” through Xbox Live on Wednesday, July 29 for 1,200 Microsoft Points.
If you never liked Marvel Vs. Capcom 2’s original jazz soundtrack, you’re in luck. Capcom will be releasing a “mixtape” of hip-hop songs inspired by the game this summer alongside the re-release of the game for the PSN and XBLA. Featured artists include:

- Talib Kweli
- E40
- DJ Qbert
