Atlus just keeps rolling out the announcements, the latest being Knights in the Nightmare for the DS. Knights in the Nightmare is a SRPG from Sting Entertainment and is the fourth in the Dept. Heaven saga (Riviera: The Promised Land is the first, Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone the second, the third is supposed to be a PC MMORPG which doesn’t make sense to me). Battles take place in real time on an isometric grid as the player directs a wisp around the battlefield. Seems interesting, and the graphics look pretty cool. The release date is June 2nd with an MSRP of $34.99
Atlus is bringing their RPG/SRPG hybrid Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor to North America this June. Seems pretty cool.
Tokyo has been sealed by the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Forces due to a demon outbreak, and it will be seven days before the whole capital is wiped out. The protagonist, a 17 year-old high school student, is trapped with his two friends Kihara Atsurou and Tanigawa Yuzu within the city, and is forced to make contracts with demons to survive.
Today Atlus announced their newest U.S. release, Eternal Poison. Titled Poison Pink in Japan, Eternal Poison is a gothic strategy RPG developed by Flight Plan (Summon Night, Black/Matrix). I didn’t get a ton out of the trailer…lots of gothic stuff going on, a white wolf, and a nuclear explosion at the end. I couldn’t find out much on Wikipedia, either, except a brief synopsis of the plot:
Poison Pink tells the story of the protagonists Tage, Olifen, and Hersh, who travel to the demon’s lair somewhere between the real world and hell to rescue a princess that has been abducted by the Besek.
Ah Luminous Arc…I own you, but I never played you. I wanted to, I really did, but there are just so many games and so little time. Now I have to deal with Luminous Arc 2, because it comes with a CD and for some reason I feel extremely compelled to buy games that come with a soundtrack.
Just a few screen shots for the upcoming Fire Emblem DS, including the box art. The game is a remake of the original Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragons and the Blade of Light, with enhanced graphics and online play over WiFi, making it way more awesomer. There’s no word yet if it’s coming to North America. Shadow Dragons seem pretty scary.

Is it me, or does it seem like Atlus announces a new game every week now? Zoid Assault is a strategy RPG featuring giant robots that look like tigers or something. Wasn’t this a television show when I was a kid? Looks pretty nice, giant robots are always a good thing. Giant robots that were built to look like animals are even better. Zoids Assault is currently scheduled for release on August 26.
