The Lost Planet 2 co-op demo is now available through the PSN!
PlayStation 3 fans rejoice! The Lost Planet 2 co-op demo is officially available via the PlayStation Network beginning today, September 24 2009. Squads of four will make their way through three playable missions in the lush jungle of E.D.N III collecting precious thermal energy from the bodies of the Akrid which inhabit the planet. With a huge arsenal of weapons and utilizing robotic Vital Suits, players will encounter Akrid of all shapes and sizes leading up to the desperate battle against the enormous Category G Akrid which has made appearances at E3, Comic Con, and GamesCom.
The demo is a brief glimpse into the world and possibilities of Lost Planet 2, highlighting the range of weaponry available to players while showing off the high definition graphical capabilities of MT Framework 2.0, the latest version of Capcom’s proprietary 3D game engine. The first generation of MT Framework powered Capcom games like Dead Rising, the original Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4, while an updated 1.5 version made possible the award-winning visuals of Resident Evil 5.
Too Human Co-Op Video
Looks pretty awesome, I’m more excited for this game now then I was before watching this.
Edit: Ok, I upgraded to WordPress 2.5 recently, and it has an “Add Video” to post function. Supposedly, just enter the link to the video and it embeds it…but no…it actually just creates a link. Sorry, I’ll try to fix later.
Peter Molyneux announced two new features for Fable 2 this week at the GDC. This first and most radical is co-op play. At any time you can jump into a friends single player game, play for awhile, and leave, keeping all the items and experience you get. I love co-op play and games, and that pretty much sealed the deal for me, I really want this game now.
The other feature is eh, whatever…a few weeks prior to the release of Fable 2, Lionhead will release a XBLA game. This game will feature all sorts of gambling mini games. All the money you earn in the games can then be transfered over to your character in Fable 2 once it’s released. Apparently the only way you can earn money in the game is to either work for it, or win it by gambling. I mean, I guess that makes sense right, because yeah why do monsters have gold on them or whatever, but just because it’s more realistic does that make it more fun? I have no clue.
I also found a Fable 2 facts sheet on the Xbox press site, which you can view below…
