Platinum Games’ (Bayonetta, Mad World) latest game, Vanquish, is a third-person shooter featuring a cover system similar to Gears of War and the ability to slow down time. Looks pretty interesting, I like the jet pack allowing the player to move quickly to get under cover. Also, an important warning. Elect a female president and next thing you know San Francisco is gone and Russia has a robot army.
Those are some crazy yarn graphics. I think it’s pretty cool how they incorporate the theme into the game play by allowing the player to pull the environment together in parts.
If only it was coming to the 3DS…
Timed exclusivity for the PSN sucks, but it still looks cool.

Journey is a new game from thatgamecompany, the creators of PSN titles Flower and Flow. It’s an “online adventure experience”, not sure exactly what that means, but it looks totally awesome. Journey is currently scheduled for release on the PS3 sometime in 2011.

Online co-op is awesome, that music is awesome, and the zoom out feature is really awesome.

Probably the best trailer I’ve seen out of E3 this year. I didn’t play the first game and had no intention of playing the second until watching this, which kind of sold me on the idea. Did Vader really expect like seven storm troopers to kill him?
Dungeon crawling RPG’s are awesome. Especially when you can choose a ninja as one of your characters. Or a buccaneer. The game currently has a September 21 release date in North America.
