My Christmas vacation this year was mostly spent running around trying to spend as much time with different family members and friends as possible. When I wasn’t doing that I was trying to finally finish Persona 3. My game has over 100 hours logged on it (granted, I would say at least 10 hours of that is from me pausing the gaming and going to do something else, I left it on one day for some reason) and I’m into the last month of the game with all the mini bosses cleared. I think I started the vacation at 80 hours, so that’s a pretty good amount of time put in over 8 days. I really was aiming to finish Persona 3 because there are a lot of new games to try to finish now…

I can’t really tell if there is a huge difference between the two, graphically. Obviously Galaxy looks somewhat better, I’m just commenting on the fact that there isn’t a massive difference between the two. Not that the graphics matters to me that much, I’m sure it’s an amazing game. Graphics aside, since Galaxy doesn’t revolve around Mario cleaning graffiti off of walls it’s instantly ten times better…I was not a big fan of Sunshine.

Super Mario Galaxy is almost here and to hold you over IGN has released some new gameplay videos, such as this mini boss fight. I really like how this fight is designed. You can sort of feel just how much the game is polished watching the multi part battle (and this is only a mini boss battle). The other interesting thing, to me, was the music (when Mario destroys all the rocks around the boss). I don’t remember any other Mario music sounding as…techno-like, I guess. It just struck me as new and interesting.
Anyway, Super Mario Galaxy is going to be totally awesome and radical.
That’s right, a super hidden second playable character has been revealed for Super Mario Galaxy. The character isn’t playable from the start of the game, and it will take some work to unlock them. Before you can play as the character you have to get all 120 stars. Don’t click if you don’t want to know… Continue reading Secret Playable Character Revealed for Super Mario Galaxy
