Modern Warfare 2 Javelin Glitch Patched On 360

Friday, December 11th, 2009

It was funny at first. Then it got amazingly annoying. Particularly when you faced groups of people with clan tags like “JAV” all running around doing it. Now, finally, it’s gone forever. For those who enjoy being cheap, fear not, Akimbo Model 1887s remain insanely overpowered.

Fun fact: I worked at the company that makes the Javelin. So, in a small way, I made this glitch a reality.

Brutal Legend: Kabbage Boy

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

After watching the video, I’m really excited to try out the demo. The dialog seems really well done, I don’t know just seems like the game will be awesome. I especially like:

“From time to time, Brutal Legend may need to utilize strong language in order to accurately portray the authentic roadie experience to the player.”

It’s so true, what is the roadie experience without strong language?

Halo3 ODST Soundtrack Out Next Week

The Halo 3 ODST soundtrack will be out next week, to coincide with the release of the game. The soundtrack contains new music composed by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori. According to O’Donnell:

“I’m happy to be able to share all new compositions and recordings created for Halo 3: ODST. The music reflects the new mood, new heroes, and new story of the game. I worked with the Northwest Sinfonia for the orchestral recordings and also added some nice alto sax solos and some new guitar solos. The piano sneaks back in again a few times too, but I can’t seem to help that.”

The soundtrack is 2-discs and will be available at www.sumthingdigital.com and iTunes on September 22nd.

New Study Shows Xbox 360 RROD On The Decline

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Percentage of RROD on the decline

Great news for Xbox 360 owners, RRoD errors appear to be on the decline! SquareTrade, the largest independent warranty provider, analyzed the failure rates of over 16,000 new consoles covered by the company for the past two years (2,500 PS3s, 2,500 Xbox 360s and 11,000 Wiis). The study seems to indicate that since the Xbox 360 has started using the “Jasper” chipset, which is a smaller and cooler chipset, the Xbox 360 has seen a lot less “Red Ring of Death” errors. Which is good, I guess, except for the fact that mine doesn’t have that chipset, so I’m essentially screwed.

Halo 3 ODST’s Firefight

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

Halo 3 ODST’s version of Horde Mode, Firefight, is looking pretty interesting. I really like the random multipliers they show if in this video, it seems like it will add a lot more variety so that every time you’re playing it will be a different experience.
