I haven’t done one of these in like a month, so I decided to add a new update. I haven’t been spending a ton of time playing any games lately, but I’ve still manage to play a bunch of different titles. Some are old, some are brand new, and a select few are awesome and radical.
Front Mission (DS)
I honestly was really looking forward to this game and I didn’t expect that I would suck so badly that I would just stop playing. As it turns out, I did suck that badly. I got to like the 3rd or 4th mission and, try as I might, died over and over again. I don’t know, maybe I upgraded the Wanzers wrong or something, but I stopped caring after dying like three times. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to pick it up again. The music was pretty cool, though.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker (DS)
Something about the game just completely turned me off to playing it. Maybe it was the crappy graphics or the mediocre music or maybe I’m just tired of playing a character that has spikey hair. Whatever it was, I’m pretty sure I’m done.
Persona 3 (PS2)
I have to finish this game. I’ve invested way too much time and effort to not finish this title. It’s worth it, everything about the game is well done. The music is a refreshing change of pace, the voice acting is well done, the character design is awesome, the anime cutscenes are cool. Sure, there are annoying parts of the game, but overall it’s very well done. I will finish this game…somehow…
Halo 3 (Xbox 360)
I keep playing it, even though I’m pretty sure I’m not having fun getting sniped from I don’t know where the hell from and dying over and over again. I really only enjoy playing the custom game “Mexican Zombies” with Gmoney. Why the hell is it called “Mexican Zombies”? I don’t even know. Where did this game mode come from? It doesn’t really matter to me, it’s fun killing zombies and repeated the mistakes we should have learned from Night of the Living Dead.
Etrian Odyssey (DS)
This is one of the most awesome, radical RPG’s I have played in a long time. There is so much about it that reminds me of playing old school RPG’s. Sure, it’s really really hard and really time consuming, but with that comes a great sense of accomplishment. I’m on like level 33 or 34, and have an all-star cast of party members: Mr. Panzo, Robert, Lizbot, Gmoney, and GOB. Each is over level 60 and totally kick ass. I don’t know why I stopped playing the game, it’s really good and the art style is awesome. I think I’m going to play it right now. These floors take a long time to map now, so it’s taking forever to get to the end.
As you can see, I have a problem finishing games. I mean, I beat Halo 3, but that doesn’t take any time at all. I really need to finish at least one of the other games before Mass Effect comes out or I’m going to be upset. I’d totally be playing Super Mario Galaxy if I had a Wii, too.
