Yesterday Atlus officially announced Crimson Gem Saga for the PSP, a turn-based RPG. The graphics are all hand drawn, and the game appears to be a pretty straight forward fantasy RPG. The game is currently set to ship May 26th. More info, and screens, below…

We’re back to finish the job we started when we announced Crimson Gem Saga for North America, and this time, we’re not taking any prisoners. Err…we’re releasing screens and stuff, rather. Sorry, carried away.
So what do you all know about Crimson Gem Saga? Aside from there being a rather imposing reddish jewel at the heart of the matter, and that the story is epic enough to be deemed a “saga,” that is. In short, CGS is one of those perfect examples of a solid, pure RPG experience. For genre fans, it will be immediately comfortable, familiar, easy to play, and of course offers all the great story, characters, and gameplay that folks will expect.
Crimson Gem Saga ships May 26 for PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system, and will from that day forth lovingly caress your childhood memories of what a traditional RPG should be.
