FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which was released in August, will be introducing ranked matchmaking and leaderboards in its new patch 1.05 we can expect on December 19. This new addition will enable players to gauge their mech’s strength rank in gameplay. Even though detailed patch notes haven’t been provided, a trailer gives an overview of what to anticipate; new player vs player (PVP) maps to conquer, customizable nameplates, and the opportunity to ascend the leaderboards through ranked matchmaking, along with new mech parts and maps.

The game, despite being on the market since August, seems to have had a fleeting presence and hasn’t lingered long in players’ dialogues. There appears to have been substantial anticipation and discussion surrounding the game, stemming from appreciation for the original 1997’s Armored Core, which some believe reflected elements of Dark Souls. However, the hype quickly transitioned towards newer releases swiftly after Armored Core 6 was announced.

This update applies to all versions of Armored Core 6, which is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Patch 1.05, introducing the ranked matchmaking, leaderboards, and other updates, will be made accessible on December 19, 2023. The general sentiment put forth seems to encourage seizing the moment; if a game piques interest, buy it before it transitions away from the limelight.
