The Pokémon TV app, which has provided fans with access to episodes and movies from the Pokémon cartoon series, will cease to exist on March 28, 2024. As announced by The Pokémon Company, the app and the website will gradually wind down, starting with the removal of the app from several major digital stores including the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore on January 8, 2024. However, fans who had the app downloaded on their devices before this date will still have access to the available content until the shutdown date.

The Pokémon TV app’s termination announcement also included details on alternative channels where Pokémon content can be accessed. These platforms comprise streaming giants like Netflix, Hulu, Roku, and some digital platforms that offer direct video content purchase instead of streaming. Pokémon TV, launched in 2010 initially as a website and later introduced an exclusive app in 2013, has seen an eventful journey, and many fans will be disappointed at its departure.

The Pokémon Company hasn’t disclosed any particular reason for this decision, leaving it a mystery as to why this free service is coming to an end. Nevertheless, loyal Pokémon TV users can continue to relish the content via the website, and any previously downloaded copy of the app up until the shutdown.
