Persona 3 Reload has set a new record as Atlus’ fastest-selling game, selling a million copies in its first week. The game’s release on Xbox Game Pass hasn’t diminished its sales, and in fact, may have increased its popularity. Along with the successful sales, the game has also received high praise, with Steam viewers giving an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ score of 97%, and an 88 Metacritic score from 61 critics. It’s clear that the updated version of the original PS2 game, with its new UI, voice cast, graphics, and music, has reinvigorated interest in the series. Atlus thanked their community for the support and looks forward to breaking more records in the future.
The Persona 3 Reload has an all-new user interface, improved graphics similar to those of Persona 5, and features both remade tracks as well as new music. It also gives players more control over their party members during battle, moving away from the AI-controlled gameplay of the previous games. This demonstrates that there is still considerable interest in the adventures of the game’s group of characters in Tartarus and beyond.
