Recent reports suggest that the rumors about a “Complete Edition” of Shin Megami Tensei V may indeed be accurate. According to gaming news site, Gematsu, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea revealed an official rating for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, described as an improved, complete edition of the original game with added content. However, this rating has since been removed.

While specific details such as compatible platforms have yet to be announced, it would be consistent with game developer Atlus’s previous actions to make the game available on other consoles. Despite its status as the best-selling title in the franchise, Shin Megami Tensei V has thus far been exclusive to the Switch console. With the large fan base on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, there is undoubtedly a crowd eager to experience the game.

Given the shared elements between Shin Megami Tensei V and the wildly popular Persona games, there’s likely a significant overlap between the audiences of the two games. The forthcoming edition, which is said to have improvements and added content, is highly anticipated by many gamers, myself included. While platforms for playing might differ amongst fans, the expanded experience offered by the ‘Complete Edition’ makes it appealing regardless.
