Capcom has revealed a remastered edition of the 3DS RPG Monster Hunter Stories, originally launched in 2016, set to roll out this summer for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam). In this game, players embark on a journey into a vibrant world filled with powerful monsters and a hidden village whose inhabitants build relationships with the beasts. Unlike traditional monster-hunting games, players form bonds with monsters, or “Monsties”, harnessing the power of kinship stones to explore the environment, engage in exciting battles, hatch Monstie eggs, and customize their companions.

The remastered Monster Hunter Stories will include new features and enhancements, such as refined graphics providing an immersive experience on larger screens with improved modeling, textures, and high-definition lighting. As another major update, the game will now be fully voiced in both Japanese and English. This release supports additional languages, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, and Arabic.

An added feature, Museum mode, allows players to explore the game’s background music and developer sketches, thereby deepening the player’s understanding of the Monster Hunter Stories world. All title updates from TU 1.20 and TU 1.30, which were previously available only in Japan, will be included in this release. The first announcement trailer and screenshots have been released for players to preview the game.
