Atlus announced the inclusion of Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis, The Answer, as part of a 3-wave Expansion Pass for Persona 3 Reload at Xbox Partner Showcase. The Expansion Pass, which also includes BGM sets and Velvet costumes, is distributed in three phases, with cosmetic content launching in the coming week and May, while The Answer debuts in September. The first wave releases on March 12th and comprises of a Persona 5 Royal EX BGM Set and a Persona 4 Golden EX BGM Set, followed by release of Velvet Costume cosmetics and a new BGM Set in May, and finally, the Answer episode releases in September.
The news of bundling The Answer into an Expansion Pass priced at $35, rather than including it in the $70 base game has received mixed reactions. What seems compensatory is that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can access the Expansion Pass for free till January 31, 2025. The decision to separate the Episode Aigis, which essentially is a post-ending DLC to Persona 3 adding expanded story and new content, from the base game as a part of an Expansion Pass has been met with shocked responses from some.
Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass, costing $34.99, can be availed from March 12 with the release of the first BGM wave. It will be available across platforms including Steam, Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
