Larian Studios has revealed that due to unforeseen production issues, they are postponing the shipment of the console Deluxe Editions of Baldur’s Gate 3. The problems that have arisen are beyond their control, affecting all Xbox and North American PS5 orders. However, all Deluxe Edition PC orders have been sent out, and the PS5 orders for Oceania and Europe are projected to commence shipping this week.
Though the delay is unfortunate, the company has shared some positive news as well. They expect that all Deluxe Edition orders will be dispatched within May and promise updates about further shipping dates in the following week. The Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is quite a package, featuring a digital soundtrack, an artbook, character sheets, and in-game bonuses such as a dice skin, Divinity item pack, Rivellon Paintings, an Adventurer’s pouch, and the Bard song pack.
In other news, Larian Studios confirmed that they aren’t developing Baldur’s Gate 4. Regardless, their CEO, Swen Vincke, is confident that their upcoming two separate projects could be the studio’s best work yet. Meanwhile, Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast are committed to finding a suitable collaborator for continuing the Baldur’s Gate series, even if the process requires considerable time.
