Atlus recently unveiled a new trailer for the extended re-release, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Highlighting the game’s new features, players can access the original story (Canon of Creation) or an alternate one (Canon of Vengeance) right from the start. The trailer lays a strong focus on the new combination abilities, underlining the power players can wield through strategic pairing of specific demons. Utilizing the combinations can unlock new combat skills and the potential for devastating damage.
The game introduces enhanced features like combination skills, which are activated by pairing certain demons in a party. These skills, consuming the Magatsuhi gauge, can effectuate considerable damage on foes. For instance, when players pair Feng Huang with Moloch and Surt, a fiery attack damages foes weakness while critical attacks get a high chance of occurring.
Apart from these, the trailer also features a deluge of other new additions and adjustments to the game. It includes passive and group skills, formidable Magatsuhi Demons, stat-boosting incense, and shortcuts to specific locations. Other updates encompass the introduction of guest characters, a new addition of enemy reinforcements, and a relaxation spot for interactions with demons and guest characters. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set for launch on June 14.
