Arrowhead May Delay Future Helldivers 2 Patches to Prioritize Quality Over Speed

Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer behind Helldivers 2, has announced that it cannot confirm when its next game patch will be released. The team is purportedly taking additional time on this patch to maintain the quality of updates, with community manager, Thomas ‘Twinbeard’ Petersson, indicating that future patches may be less frequent. The team believes it has been releasing patches too regularly, risking a compromise on quality.

Since its launch in February, Helldivers 2 has received numerous patches to address bugs and add new content. Despite usually being welcomed by players, some are of the opinion that the rapid and frequent game updates might affect the quality. According to Twinbeard, frequent patching can disrupt workflow and requires more resources than perceived.

While aiming for better quality updates, the studio now plans to extend the period of the next patch development. This move may require players to adjust to less frequent patch releases but could result in more substantial updates and content additions in the long run. Surprisingly, this information has only been shared on the Discord channel, with no official announcement on Twitter or Steam.
