Atlus, the developer and publisher, has launched a fresh trailer for their enhanced re-release, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, an adaptation of the 2021 Nintendo Switch title, Shin Megami Tensei V. The trailer, named “The Ultimate Beginning,” brings forth the stew of the game’s narrative, potentially revealing some spoilers.
The updated game promises two selectable sequences at the start, namely, “Canon of Creation,” encapsulating the full chronicle of the original version, and “Canon of Vengeance,” an innovative tale introduced in this release. While both scenarios commence identically, the plot of the Canon of Vengeance inevitably deviates significantly in the second half, leading to an entirely disparate conclusion.
The release of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is slated for June 14, 2024, and will be available globally for platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
