Devolver Digital recently teased a new game by developer Heart Machine, the creators of Hyper Light Drifter, in their upcoming Devolver Direct presentation. This follows a previous teaser seen during Devolver Digital’s anniversary sale, making this the second game confirmed for their presentation on June 7, alongside Nerial’s forthcoming title The Crush House. While details of Heart Machine’s new game are yet to be discerned, the anticipation swells given the developer’s impressive track record and affinity with the Devolver lineup.
A 30-second trailer shows an image of a ruined city beneath an orange sky, focusing on a silhouetted, horned figure, hinting at the characters from previous games. The trailer concludes with cryptic symbols interpreted by some as “POSSESSOR(S).” However, fans need to wait for the presentation to confirm if this is the official title. This forthcoming title, coupled with Heart Machine’s existing projects like Hyper Light Breaker, fosters intrigue about the developer’s current ventures.
In addition to the Heart Machine game, Devolver Digital’s Direct presentation promises more insights into The Crush House by Nerial, a game unveiled earlier this year. This 1999-era reality show-based game brings a unique, “thirst-person” shooter experience to the table, enhancing the excitement for Volvy’s 15th Birthday Party, the theme of the upcoming event.
