During the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, Bethesda disclosed more details about the upcoming Starfield’s Shattered Space expansion. The details include promotional footage, information about the gameplay and the release of special content on the day of the showcase. While no specific date was announced, fans are expecting it to launch in the fall of 2024, which aligns with the September 2023 release of Starfield’s main game.
The expansion will be accessible on Xbox Series X|S and PC come 2024. Customers with Premium or Constellation Edition will receive automatic access to Shattered Space when it is released, while Standard Edition owners will need to purchase it separately. Set on House Va’Ruun’s concealed homeworld, Shattered Space introduces an entirely new world and storyline, blended with elements of horror and further exploration missions.
In addition to unveiling Shattered Space, the trailer revealed new in-game features scheduled for release on June 9, 2024. The features, featuring enhancements to the Tracker’s Alliance such as new locations, gear, and bounties, aim to enrich gameplay. The update also offers custom content like the Creation Kit, Bethesda’s modding tools previously available to Elder Scrolls and Fallout players, but now accessible to Starfield modders. Fans can expect additional updates upon the launch.
