MysticDistance, a well-known figure in the Sega community, has been unmasked as the major leaker Midori. Midori, recognized for regularly releasing varying accuracy leaks about Persona games, previously posed as a Japanese woman potentially linked to Sega through her boyfriend. Recently, the expansion of game information leaks to companies beyond Atlus and Sega and evidence gathered by a throwaway account revealed Midori’s true identity.

Midori confirmed their identity as MysticDistance via Twitter, explaining they shared information received from others and intended to report on Atlus and Sega independently of their previous persona. They claimed the persona was not created to deceive people into believing they worked for Sega or to deceive anyone. The Twitter thread ended with an apology to anyone who felt betrayed upon learning Midori’s true identity.

In related news, Persona 3 Reload, the latest Persona series entry, is readily available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. The upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set to release on June 14, 2024, for all mentioned devices, plus Nintendo Switch.
