Polyphony Digital, the developer of Gran Turismo 7, has introduced a huge update to the racing simulation game. The update promises an “updated physics simulation model” aiming to improve the gaming experience. The 1.49 update focuses on enhancing suspension physics and refining tire calculations, aiming to present a more natural weight shifting during car cornering, resulting in more dynamic car movements and a superior gaming experience.

However, users have reported unexpected scenarios resulting from the update, such as their cars bouncing uncontrollably, launching into the air, and executing aerial spins. In a tweet, Polyphony Digital apologized for the issue, attributing the glitch to a “particular car setting”, and stated that the issue is under investigation. The company advised against playing the game on PlayStation VR 2, given the chance of users feeling motion sickness.

Gran Turismo 7, launched in March 2022, continues the 25-year tradition of the franchise, merging science, engineering, history, and heart to create a unique gaming experience. The game, celebrated for adhering to a unique vision and standards, is available on PlayStation 5.
