LocalThunk and PlayStack have declared that Balatro, the roguelike deckbuilder game based on Poker, will be available on Android and iOS platforms from September 26, 2024 onwards. On the same day, an Apple Arcade release of the game will also launch. The game, which is currently $6.99 per month on Apple Arcade and $9.99 on the App Store and Google Play, involves acquiring playing cards for your deck, earning Jokers which influence game’s score, and aims at beating increasingly tough tasks through meeting scoring goals.
Initially making its appearance on consoles and PCs in February 2024, Balatro has been consistently updated and its physical versions are also available. It is set to be featured in an upcoming crossover with Dave the Diver in October 2024. The game, which also offers campaign and challenge modes along with new cosmetics inspired by popular games like The Witcher, is currently available on platforms such as the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
