The ever-popular fantasy game, Path Of Exile 2, debuted in early access just a week ago. With its exciting introduction came some significant updates from the game developers, Grinding Gear Games. These updates ranged from immediate game tweaks to changes planned for future patches. The developers aim to make Path Of Exile 2, a favorite among goblin-battling and loot-grabbing enthusiasts, even more appealing.

One of the critical updates revolved around dodge-rolling. Previously, several game users expressed their concerns about the frequency of getting trapped by the in-game monsters. Grinding Gear Games listened, incorporating changes that provide a smoother dodge roll, making it a more effective tool in evading the creatures that stand in the adventurer’s way. These changes don’t, however, imply that getting pinned down is a thing of the past. Monsters still pose as hindrances, and there’s still no phasing through them. However, the developers have promised that these modifications will allow gamers to overcome obstacles, even those with the smallest gaps.

In addition to this, the developers have addressed the issue of checkpoints in the game. With an upcoming patch, they intend to prevent the need to backtrack to already discovered areas. Soon, players will be able to teleport to other checkpoints allowing them to traverse the game world more conveniently. Grinding Gear Games also plans to situate checkpoints at the entrances and exits of all zones, facilitating easier teleportation.

In addition to the gameplay updates, Grinding Gear Games has taken some big steps in terms of item drops in the game. Player feedback had pointed out that the game did not feel rewarding enough regarding loot. To address this, the developers conveyed that they’ve made changes; however, they have been cautious about these changes because being overly generous with item drops could turn problematic.

In efforts to make the game more satisfying, the developers have bettered the rewards players receive from defeating rare in-game monsters. As players progress, encountering and defeating higher-level monsters, they will find that these adversaries have a greater chance of yielding more modifiers.

Moreover, there have been notable improvements in currency drops. Notably, the drop rate of the Regal orb, a valuable in-game currency, has been increased by around 40%, while that of the Gemcutter’s Prism has seen a substantial increase – a whopping 500%.

Not overlooking even the smallest of details, the developers have ensured that the value of all prefix map mods receive a significant bump. Furthermore, they have implemented a feature to protect players from “unlucky” drops – when a boss doesn’t drop the expected booming loot. This update ensures that gold will not make up more than 50% of unique monster drops.

Grinding Gear Games have also ensured that the “Act” and “Map” bosses always drop a rare item to keep the sense of reward intact. To add to the thrill, a future patch promises even more rare monsters to challenge at the end of the game maps.
