From Software, a prestigious gaming company, recently made a public apology to its user base following persistent connection issues that have been influencing the Elden Ring Nightreign network test. A multitude of gamers are struggling to connect and play in the game’s network test, citing frequent interactions caused by overpopulated servers.
The game developing giant strives to deliver seamless gaming experiences, thus these challenges presented by the network test have not been well received by the gaming community, and From Software is not taking them lightly. The details of the ordeal were released by From Software’s dedicated Japanese player-support account that acknowledged the congestion in the servers and expressed difficulty for players to match against each other. Advice provided by the account implored gamers to persist in trying to connect. Accompanied by these suggestions was From Software’s apology for any inconvenience caused so far.
Emerging reports indicate that the PlayStation servers are absorbing the highest impact from these challenges. The official Elden Ring Twitter account revealed that the Nightreign PlayStation servers were undertaking maintenance to try and improve the situation. They stated, “Work is ongoing to restore server functionality. Further updates will be provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding.” These updates are eagerly awaited by users who stand to be affected by the restrains of this network issue.
The current Elden Ring Nightreign network test is partitioned into five distinct sessions meant to span from February 14 to February 16. Each test session is strictly scheduled to last three hours offering players a fairly limited window to interact with Elden Ring Nightreign. This time restraint is amplified by the current server issues, leaving players with an even narrower window to experience the game, hence causing noticeable frustration.
Despite the evident challenges, there’s much anticipation for Elden Ring Nightreign’s official launch which is set for May 30. The game will be available on various platforms including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. One notable promise that has been made by From Software in relation to Elden Ring Nightreign is the omission of any microtransactions. However, it was clarified that there will be a one-time purchase DLC available to gamers.
More detailed information concerning the Elden Ring Nightreign, including insightful interviews with director Junya Ishizaki and additional previews, is expected to create more anticipation in the gaming community for the upcoming game.
Intriguingly, Elden Ring Nightreign is not the only game that has battled with network issues recently with similar issues affecting the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test the previous weekend. Allegedly, PlayStation’s network failure was the source cause then, leading to PSN being inactive for almost 24 hours. Resultantly, Capcom made a decision to extend the beta test schedule to cater for the downtime. Notably, considering the present challenges, From Software is analyzing similar measures to possibly extend Elden Ring Nightreign’s network test as well.
With this unfolding, the gaming industry, as well as Elden Ring Nightreign’s eager audience, awaits further developments and solutions to these challenges, with the hope that From Software will soon regain control and deliver the seamless gaming experience they are renowned for.
