Activision, the publisher behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, has shared great news for game enthusiasts. They are extending the game’s open beta for another 24 hours and consequently, it will run until October 9. This strategically brings it right up to the launch of its competitor, Battlefield 6, scheduled for October 10.
The response to the Black Ops 7 Beta so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Players seem to enjoy calling in Nukes in Multiplayer mode or challenging themselves with high rounds of Zombies Survival. Activision, in its recent blog update, has expressed joy at being able to join in on the fun with the player community.
On a heartfelt note, the team at Treyarch has appreciated the constructive feedback received during the beta test. In response to gamers’ demand for more, the Black Ops 7 Beta was extended up to 9am PT on Thursday, October 9.
The beta further incorporates the sixth Beta MP map, Toshin. Open playlists have been included as well and they adhere to classic matchmaking traditions with skill being of minimal consideration, according to Activision.
The gaming giant also ensured that it would expand 2XP + 2X Weapon XP for the remaining duration of the Beta. This will facilitate gamers in attaining level 30, experimenting with weapons and gear, besides unlocking several attachments and Overclocks.

The Black Ops 7 extended beta offers various features and maps. Activision looks forward to the official game release on November 14. This past week, Activision has put stringent measures in place against cheaters, with 97% caught within 30 minutes of accessing the beta. PC gamers, be warned. Gameplay is possible only once TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are enabled.
Battlefield 6, developed by EA, has encountered numerous leaks throughout 2025. Now, just three days before its release, it seems the game may have leaked further, reaching public hands ahead of time.
