New characters for the upcoming action RPG spin-off, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, have been unveiled by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force. The latest update has brought to light five intriguing new characters, with four seemingly playable in the game.

The eye-catching roster includes Argasta, the intellectual chief of the Gorons, and an old-time friend of the reappearing character King Rauru. Kia, a Zora princess, amazes with her martial arts skills and inspires her people with her determination. Krafika, the Rito tribe’s leader, while not overly eloquent, displays stout allegiance and shows astute resourcefulness during combat. Aldy, who is part of the Gerudo tribe, starts serving under Ganondorf when the game begins. Last but not least, Lanaria is selected by King Rauru to become Zelda’s maid. With her gentle demeanor and swift work ethic, she does not fail to sustain curiosity for the mystical entities.

The setting for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment coincides with the canon of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom duology. This chapter delves into the story of the Imprisoning War in Hyrule’s ancient history, which led to the eventual run of events in Tears of the Kingdom. The game is slated to release for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6, 2025.
