Pokemon Champions Set for April Switch Release, Summer Mobile Launch

In the recent February 2026 Pokemon Presents, fans were delighted to see an updated trailer for the much-anticipated Pokemon Champions. The Pokemon Company has officially announced when players can expect to embark on this new adventure. The free-to-play game is scheduled to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch platform this coming April, while mobile gamers can expect the iOS and Android versions to follow in the summer of 2026.nnThe Pokemon Company highlighted Pokemon Champions in several presentations last year, with notable showcases in both July and August. The latest trailer bridges both console and mobile gaming, showing how players on both platforms can cross-play and battle one another. This valuable feature is sure to make the game even more captivating to gamers on all devices.nnIn addition to the main trailer, an Opening Movie for the game has been made available on the company’s YouTube channel. This immersive visual piece sets the scene for the exciting Pokemon battles that await.nnThe connectivity options offered by Pokemon Champions are extensive. Trainers will have the chance later this year to link Pokemon Legends: Z-A with Pokemon HOME. Once connected, trainers can bring Pokemon from both titles to Pokemon Champions, and these Pokemon then can participate in battles. This bridges the gap between the games, adding an intriguing layer to the gameplay. Transferring certain Pokemon to Pokemon HOME will also uncover rewards, such as Chesnaughtite stone, Delphoxite stone, and Greninjite stone in Pokemon Champions. These added perks enhance the gameplay and increase the motivations for utilizing linking features.nnThe spotlight is already aimed at Pokemon Champions as it prepares to take center stage at this year’s Video Game Championships. The 2026 Pokemon World Championships will be held later this year in San Francisco, providing a significant stage for the game’s competitive play aspects.nnWith its release on the horizon, the excitement for Pokemon Champions amasses. Trainers can start battling it out this April in the Pokémon Champions game on Nintendo Switch — and later this year on mobile devices.

Later this year, Trainers will be able to connect the Pokémon Legends: Z-A game to Pokémon HOME. By linking Pokémon Champions to Pokémon HOME, they’ll be able to bring Pokémon that appear in both these titles to visit Pokémon Champions and battle alongside them as they aim for the title of Champion. Trainers can also claim additional rewards in Pokémon Champions, such as a Chesnaughtite stone, Delphoxite stone and Greninjite stone, by transferring these Mega Stones’ corresponding Pokémon that were originally obtained in Pokémon LegendsZ-A into Pokémon HOME.
