ENDLESS Legend II is set to launch in full on September 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The strategy sequel will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for PC players, while the newly confirmed console versions bring the game to a wider audience at release. Players who want an early look do not have to wait, as a demo is currently available across all announced platforms.
The game previously entered Early Access on PC on August 7, 2025, giving strategy fans a chance to explore its evolving systems before the full 1.0 launch. That full release now marks a major milestone for the fantasy strategy title, which continues to build on the identity of the original with a mix of empire management, hero-led warfare, faction storytelling, and a world shaped by environmental upheaval.
Set on the troubled world of Saiadha, ENDLESS Legend II places players in a land defined by receding oceans and catastrophic natural change. The setting is not just background flavor, but a central part of how the game unfolds. As the seas pull back and the terrain shifts, players must establish cities, expand their influence, and adapt to a landscape that can transform over time. That changing world creates constant pressure, forcing each empire to balance growth, defense, and long-term ambition.
At its core, the game is about building a powerful civilization in unstable conditions. Players will create and manage a broad network of cities while competing with rival factions for control. Military strength remains a key part of that struggle, with armies led by heroes who bring their own skills, traits, and strategic value to the battlefield. Choosing how to develop those heroes, where to deploy them, and how to support them with the right units can shape the course of an entire campaign.
Beyond conquest, there is also a strong emphasis on discovery and faction identity. Players will dig into the mysteries at the heart of Saiadha while following story-driven faction quests that help define each empire’s goals and worldview. That mix of narrative progression and strategic decision-making is one of the sequel’s major draws, and the full release is expanding that formula with several notable additions.
One of the biggest new features arriving with version 1.0 is the introduction of the Sandshapers, the sixth major faction in the game. This ancient civilization is described as the oldest to inhabit Saiadha, with memories stretching back to a time before the planet was covered by water. Their mission is deeply tied to the world itself, as they seek to terraform Saiadha and restore it to the desert state they believe it was always meant to have. As a full major faction, the Sandshapers come with their own faction quest, along with new units, heroes, technologies, and traits. Their traits will also be available in the Custom Faction creator, giving players more options for tailoring their own empire designs.
The full release will also introduce Rogue Factions, which offer a different twist on familiar groups. These splinter factions are connected to existing civilizations, but they are not simple duplicates. Each one is designed with its own story, faction quest, and gameplay style, creating alternate takes on known powers. The first two planned Rogue Factions are the Order of Zelevas and The Severed Claw. The Order of Zelevas is a conquest-oriented variation of the Kin of Sheredyn, suggesting a more aggressive path for players who want to dominate through military expansion. The Severed Claw, meanwhile, offers a darker variation on the Necrophage, with a brutal mechanic that allows it to replace losses only by enslaving other factions. These additions should help broaden replay value by giving players more ways to approach familiar strategic foundations.
Another new addition is the Mangrove of Harmony, a minor faction created in collaboration with the Amplitude community. This starfish-like group adds more flavor and variety to the world, bringing its own hero, questline, villages, recruitable units, population type, and hero skills. Minor factions often play an important role in shaping the early and mid-game flow of strategy titles like this, and the Mangrove of Harmony appears designed to deepen that layer with both mechanical and narrative content.
For players interested in trying the game before launch, the updated demo offers a useful preview of what to expect. It is currently live again on Steam and consoles and includes the Kin of Sheredyn and The Last Lords as playable factions. That should give newcomers a chance to sample the game’s strategic systems, faction flavor, and world design before deciding whether to jump into the full release in September.
Physical collectors on PlayStation 5 will also have something extra to watch for. Two physical editions are planned for the platform through a collaboration with Strictly Limited. While the exact release timelines for those editions have not yet been confirmed, pre-orders are already open through participating retailers worldwide as well as the Strictly Limited store.
With its full launch date now locked in, console support confirmed, and several major additions on the way, ENDLESS Legend II is shaping up to deliver a larger and more feature-rich strategy experience in September. Between its shifting world, expanding faction lineup, narrative quests, and updated demo, the game is positioning its 1.0 release as a major step forward for both returning players and newcomers.
In the face of receding oceans and cataclysmic events, players must establish and develop a sprawling network of cities as they fight for dominance over an ever-shifting landscape. Raise formidable armies led by mighty heroes, each with their own unique attributes and skills, and uncover the secrets that lie at the heart of the world.
As the 1.0 release dawns, new factions will enter the fray in a bid to make their mark on the crumbling oceanic paradise:
The mysterious Sandshapers emerge as the game’s sixth major faction. As the oldest civilization to inhabit Saiadha, they remember a time before the planet was covered by water, and it’s their sacred duty to terraform the planet back to the desert world it once was. As with all major empires in ENDLESS Legend II, the Sandshapers bring a new faction quest to tell their story, along with new units, heroes, technologies, and traits, which will be available in the Custom Faction creator.
Meanwhile, Rogue Factions enter the fray as a new spin on existing factions. While these splinter groups share much with their predecessors, they will have their own distinct faction quest, story, and gameplay. The first two planned are the Order of Zelevas, a conquest-focused variant of the Kin of Sheredyn, and The Severed Claw, a version of the Necrophage that can only replace its losses by enslaving other factions.
Finally, the Mangrove of Harmony is a new, starfish-like minor faction developed in conjunction with the Amplitude community, featuring its own hero and questline, alongside new villages, recruitable units, a new population, and two hero skills, among other things.
Anyone looking to try the game out can dive into the new and improved demo on Steam and consoles, which is back online from today and features the Kin of Sheredyn and The Last Lords as playable factions.
