Yes, MotoGP for the Wii does indeed launch next week (Tuesday, March 24, 2009).
This will be the first officially licensed MotoGP title ever for the Nintendo Wii platform. MotoGP turns the Wii remote into a virtual set of handlebars to deliver the definitive two-wheeled racing experience. The development team’s overriding aim is to deliver an unparalleled handling model that allows access points for gamers of all skill levels and just as importantly provide a challenge to meet each player’s abilities.
Apparently Need for Speed is going where it’s never gone before: action RPG. Wait, wait…I read the press release wrong. It’s actual racing into the genre of racing. Which isn’t a new genre for Need for Speed, at all. So, I guess really I’m just kind of confused and feel betrayed by the press release’s title.
Anyway, they announced three new games: Need for Speed SHIFT, Need for Speed NITRO, and Need for Speed World Online.
This new trailer from GDC just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe it’s that ridiculous wheel accessory…or maybe it’s Wario riding around on a motorcycle instead of a kart…I just…I don’t know. Double Dash pissed me off, the fucking computer cheated so bad. I could get over everything else but…I hate the A.I. in that game so much. Ask Liz, she knows. Now I’m always going to think twice before buying a Mario Kart game.
