Bioware has released a new character trailer for their upcoming expansion Dragon Age: Origins Awaking.
Redwood Shores, CA – February 20, 2010 – The Darkspawn are evolving, becoming more skilled and treacherous opponents. Faced with the task of eliminating this new threat, you will be happy to have on your team someone who isn’t just willing to die in battle – she has to. Sigrun’s fate is sealed – she will do penance by giving her life on the battlefield. But she also has a huge chip on her shoulder, and she plans on taking out as many enemies as possible before she does.
There is only one way to leave the Legion of the Dead: by fulfilling a vow to die in battle against the enemies of Orzammar, a sacrifice that absolves any guilt. Sigrun craves a chance to prove she is more than a worthless gutter-rat, but it’s hard to rush headlong into a battle you won’t survive. After all, when you grow up casteless, you learn to fight for everything. You learn that you have to watch out for yourself, because no one else will, and the Stone knows no one’s going to miss you when you’re dead. Sigrun’s a survivor, and old habits die hard.
Three new achievements have been listed for Mass Effect, pretty much guaranteeing that new DLC will be on the way, soon. The way the achievements are listed seems to hint at an arena-type DLC, with the new area being called Pinnacle Station:
This new developer’s diary for Mass Effect 2 makes the game look pretty awesome (there are some minor spoilers, so beware). I like how I can just push people out of windows if they don’t answer my questions how I want them to be answered. Which is what I do in real life. What it didn’t really address was the A.I., I really hope my A.I. teammates aren’t completely retarded while in combat, because that was the one thing that really pissed me off while playing the first.
IGN has an interesting interview up with Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood’s producer, Mark Darrah and some new screenshots from the game. I’ve been interested in this Sonic RPG for awhile now, the idea of Bioware making a Sonic RPG on a handheld system just seemed like something completely different for the company. I expected awesome and radical things, basically.
The interview talks about some details about the game, but a great deal isn’t revealed. The plot is summed up as:
Eggman was defeated some time ago and Sonic has gone out to explore the rest of his world. He has been gone for a while and then gets a call from Tails – Knuckles has been kidnapped! Not only that, the chaos emeralds are disappearing!
The games battles are described as turn-based with real-time elements. Also, the game is divided into two acts. The first act takes place in Sonic’s world, with areas like the Green Hill Zone and Mystic Ruins. The second act, however, takes place in another dimension new galaxy intergalactic planetary. Nothing was revealed about this other dimension, but it sounds scary.
Kmart seems to have broken the release date for Mass Effect, selling the game 10 days early. If you’re dying to play the game, it’s worth a shot. Head over to your nearest Kmart before someone gets smart and pulls them all off the shelf.
If only I knew of a Kmart around here, I would totally be there. Read more about the broken release date here and here.
