Final Fantasy XIV has kicked off its newest seasonal event, the 2023 Starlight Celebration. This limited-time holiday and Christmas-themed event rewards players with a new full outfit— the Unorthodox Saint’s Set, a Santa Claus-like cosmetic glamour armor, for participating in the ‘Blue Starlight’ event quest in Gridania. The celebration is the game’s yearly tradition linked to a group of knights from the Eorzean nation of Ishgard, best known for taking care of orphans and dressing them in red jackets from their uniforms.
The event not only rewards players’ involvement with the unique Saint’s costume but also includes side quests featuring cameos from prominent in-game characters that adds more exciting cutscenes. Additionally, players can buy an Illuminated Topiary Chocobo decoration for their in-game homes using a minimal amount of gil.
Final Fantasy XIV’s Starlight Celebration event culminates the festivities of the year and will continue to run until the end of December 2023. The game is accessible on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
