Kojima Productions has recently unveiled its plans for the development of two new projects, Death Stranding 2 and OD, set to happen simultaneously. Creator, Hideo Kojima, revealed on Twitter that 2024 would be another year of development for Death Stranding 2, with some ADR work remaining before shifting focus to Japanese voice-overs. While no official release date has been made public, a 2025 launch is speculated, given the additional year of development mentioned by Kojima.

At The Game Awards 2023, Kojima disclosed a few details about the highly anticipated game, OD, describing it as a groundbreaking title designed to reshape and expand the existing gaming landscape. Collaboration with filmmaker Jordan Peele has been confirmed, although a release date remains a mystery, with only a cryptic teaser trailer to whet fans’ appetites.

Despite Kojima’s intention to scale back his business trips this year, the studio is bustling with activity. In addition to Death Stranding 2 and OD, Kojima Productions is also working on turning Death Stranding into a film, collaborating on The Avengers, and possibly reviving Hide Radio and launching a show on ‘HideTube’. While it promises to be a packed year, fans are excited to see what the studio will produce, particularly intrigued by the prospect of the Death Stranding’s film adaptation.
