“WiZmans World Re;Try to Launch on Switch, PS5, PS4 on May 30, Followed by Xbox One and PC Steam Releases in 2024”

City Connection has set the release date for the remastered WiZmans World RE;Try, initially for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on May 30, with versions for Xbox One and PC via Steam to follow later in 2024. The original game, developed by now-defunct company Jaleco, was only available in Japan, but the remastered version will support numerous languages, including English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. In addition to a refreshed soundtrack, the new release will feature several gameplay enhancements including the ability to save anywhere, more save slots, no item possession limits, specific monster fights, text skipping and viewing, and a New Game+ option.

The remastered title had initially been announced in 2022 aiming for a 2023 release that later got delayed. The game was initially released on February 25, 2010, contrary to the 2009 release date listed on the official Steam page. In addition to confirming the final release date, a trailer, information sheets, and screenshots for WiZmans World RE;Try have also been released.

The remastered game’s story focuses on a wizard in the forgotten city of Wizarest, battling against the monsters inhabiting its surrounding dungeons in a hopes of finding an exit. The game uses a turn-based strategy system built around chaining attacks and understanding attributes. Anima Fusion system is intended to enhance your party and improve their offensive capabilities.
