Sukeban Games, the team behind the successful VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, has announced the development of a new game, .45 Parabellum Bloodhound. This RPG breaks away from Sukeban’s traditional visual novel style, introducing an “Active Time Action” combat system inspired by the 1998 game, Parasite Eve. In this style, players can take actions following a gauge countdown, but also move to avoid attacks during this time.

The main character is Reila Mikazuchi, described as a recovering depressive seeking to rebuild her life in familiar, albeit dangerous, ways. In relation to their other anticipated project, N1RV Ann-A, the developers have said there is no current news, adding that .45 Parabellum Bloodhound has taken precedence in their development focus for Christopher Ortiz in the foreseeable future.

Although no release date for .45 Parabellum Bloodhound has yet been given, the developers have simply said it will be released “when it’s done”. Regular monthly updates in the form of devlogs are promised, and the game is slated for release on PC.
