Partnership between Kitfox Games and Feehold Games has resulted in an exciting announcement: the popular roguelike game, Caves of Qud, is to launch on Nintendo Switch. Following its full release on PC, Mac, and Linux platforms in December 2024, after a prolonged development time of fifteen years, the Switch version of the game is scheduled for a release later this year.

Identified as a science fantasy RPG, Caves of Qud integrates intricate simulation elements into its gameplay. Broad character customization is a key characteristic of the game, granting players access to over seventy options for mutations and an extensive selection of cybernetic implants. With these modifications, players can acquire unique abilities such as flying, teleportation, hypnotizing goats, swapping bodies with a robot, and more.

This expansive game hosts over seventy factions and features a complete simulation of all monsters and NPCs, equipped with their individual levels, skills, equipment, faction affiliations, and body parts. Furthermore, it provides players with a variety of gameplay modes: the traditional roguelike mode alongside the slightly less demanding Roleplay and Wander modes.

Kitfox Games and Freehold Games stay committed to creating immersive, rich gaming experiences in the Caves of Qud, now extending this unique roguelike gameplay to the vibrant, global community of Nintendo Switch players. Watch out for updates on the release date later this year.
