On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Persona franchise, an exciting and unique collaboration has been unveiled by Keio, Atlus and i-rights. In celebration of this anniversary, a special year-long partnership will see Keio operating a train emblazoned with imagery from the beloved game franchise. Additionally, a series of pop-up shops retailing exclusive Persona merchandise will be set up at Keio stations across Tokyo.nnThe Persona-themed train will ride the tracks until February 21, 2026. The train decor intricately captures the charm of various protagonists from the Persona series. In particular, those from the very recent Nintendo Switch 2 release, Persona 3 Reload and the free-to-play game, Persona 5: The Phantom X brandish the train panels. This echoes the essence of the iconic characters into the everyday journeys of the passengers.nnParallel to that, i-rights will operate pop-up shops at different key stations, including Shibuya, Kichijoji, Shinjuku, Fuchu, and Sakurajosui. The shops will run in two phases: the first up until February 15, 2026, followed by a three-day window from February 21 to February 23, 2026. Limited edition merchandise featuring protagonists of the franchise’s primary console games adorned in train station employee uniforms will be on sale at these pop-up shops. The prices for these unique products range from ¥800 (~$5.20) for a full set of seven flake stickers, up to ¥6,300 (~$41.15) for a complete box of charms displaying station name-themed plates.nnThe Keio line, most recognized for operating the Inokashira Line, features prominently in the Persona 5 sub-series. The game’s versions – Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5: The Phantom X – both involve routes connecting Shibuya and Kichijoji, with stops at prominent stations like Inokashira Park and Shimo-Kitazawa. These real-world locations not only serve as significant settings in the game but also form crucial parts of Tokyo’s rail transit network.nnThe conclusion of this year-long celebration will see the Persona-branded Keio train making its final runs on February 21, 2026, followed by the closure of the Persona 30th Anniversary pop-up shops on February 23, 2026. This immersive event resonates with the strong brand affinity and rich history of the Persona series, extending its incredible journey through the annals of gaming history with an unforgettable celebration.
