The much anticipated Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP for Nintendo Switch 2, initially slated to hit the market on March 26, has been put on hold till May 28, reports developer Dragami Games. It will be priced at $54.99, or 7,590 yen. The developers have announced that proprietors of the original Switch version will be able to capitalize on an ‘Upgrade Pack’ worth $9.99, or 1,100 yen.nnLollipop Chainsaw RePOP made a splash on systems like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC through Steam on September 12, 2024, and was later welcomed on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One come December 2nd of the same year. By August 12, 2025, the game had garnered a significant following with over 300,000 units sold.nnThe delay roadmap for the Switch 2 edition of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP outlines the tactical rescheduling at Dragami Games. Despite planning for a March 26, 2026 release, continuing enhancements for the Nintendo Switch 2, coupled with compulsory modifications for the currently available Nintendo Switch version, have edged the release date forward to May 28, 2026.nnIn similar fashion, the free ‘Burlesque Bunny’ costume, initially set to debut in the market simultaneously with the Switch 2 edition, has also had its release timeframe recalibrated. The team at Dragami Games extends its sincere apology to the eager fanbase eagerly awaiting both the game and its updates.nnThe costume design contest winners from the period between September 2 and October 27 the previous year were set to roll out sequentially, starting with ‘Burlesque Bunny’. For the Nintendo Switch version, the development phase is still fixated on the Switch 2 Edition; hence, the implementation of the winning outfits will coincide with the Chainsaw RePOP’s Switch 2 debut.nnOther contest-worthy costumes, namely ‘Succubus Juliet’ and ‘Kogal’, are in full swing production-wise. ■ Notice and Apology Regarding the Release Delay of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

The title was originally scheduled for release on March 26, 2026. However, in addition to ongoing development for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, we have determined that significant revisions are also required for the currently available Nintendo Switch version. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release to May 28, 2026.

Furthermore, the free additional costume “Burlesque Bunny,” which was planned for distribution on the same day as the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition release, will also have its release timing adjusted accordingly.

The winning costumes from the Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Costume Design Contest, held from September 2 to October 27 last year, were originally planned for sequential release following the implementation of “Burlesque Bunny.”

However, due to the postponement of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, we will move forward with the release of later scheduled updates. This decision reflects our desire to deliver new content to our fans as early as possible.

The next update will introduce the second winning costume, “Die Hard Patriot.”
