Square Enix has officially announced that Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, giving fans another chance to revisit one of the most beloved RPG stories in the series. The release is part of the celebration surrounding the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X, a game that originally debuted in 2001 and left a lasting mark on the genre. The announcement arrived during the June 2026 Summer Game Fest Nintendo Direct, where the collection was revealed as one of the notable RPG releases on the way to the platform.
