Frosthaven Full PC Launch Set For October 15

Arc Games and Snapshot Games have confirmed that Frosthaven will leave early access and officially launch for PC on October 15, 2026. The tactical RPG, based on Isaac Childres’ acclaimed tabletop game, will arrive as a full release on Steam and the Epic Games Store with a wide range of additions and improvements that build on player feedback gathered throughout early access.

The full version is being positioned as the most complete and polished edition of the game yet. Snapshot Games says the journey through early access helped the team refine core systems, improve usability, and expand the overall experience for both longtime board game fans and newcomers stepping into this world for the first time. With the final release, players can expect the complete story campaign, the full hero roster, stronger onboarding tools, multiplayer enhancements, and several quality-of-life upgrades.

One of the biggest additions in the full launch is the complete story campaign. Players will be able to experience the entire Frosthaven narrative from beginning to end, including the final chapter. That is a major milestone for a game built around a sprawling campaign structure, where progression, party composition, and long-term decision-making are central to the experience. For fans who have been waiting to dive in until every major piece was in place, the October launch marks the point when the full adventure becomes available.

Snapshot Games is also emphasizing improved onboarding as a major feature of version 1.0. Frosthaven is known for having deep and sometimes demanding systems, so making the game easier to learn has clearly been a priority. The digital-only Road to Frosthaven introduction is designed to help players get comfortable with the mechanics, while updated tutorials and clearer user interface elements should make the early hours less intimidating. That could be especially important for players who are interested in the strategy and worldbuilding but may have found the tabletop game’s complexity a barrier to entry.

At launch, all 17 playable heroes will be available, with the final hero joining the roster in the full release. That means players will have access to the complete lineup when building parties and experimenting with different tactical combinations. Since hero variety is a major part of Frosthaven’s appeal, having the entire cast in place should significantly expand replay value and give players more freedom in how they approach combat encounters and campaign progression.

The release will also include a standalone demo built around the Road to Frosthaven experience. This gives curious players a chance to sample the game before committing to a purchase. For a title with layered mechanics and a distinct tactical style, a demo is a smart way to let new players see whether the game clicks for them.

Multiplayer is another area receiving attention in the full version. Enhanced co-op play and networking improvements are planned to make teaming up with friends a smoother experience. Given how naturally Frosthaven lends itself to group strategy and coordinated planning, better online functionality could be one of the most meaningful upgrades for players who want to tackle the campaign together.

Customization is also getting a boost through House Rules, which will allow players to tailor parts of the experience to better match their preferred playstyle. That flexibility could make the game more inviting for different kinds of audiences, whether they want a stricter adaptation of the tabletop design or a more personalized digital campaign.

Beyond the gameplay systems, the full launch adds more presentation and lore features. A new opening cinematic will introduce players to the harsh setting of the Frozen North, helping establish the mood and stakes from the start. Hero unlock videos will also celebrate each new character discovery, giving every addition to the roster a stronger sense of identity. On top of that, a fully implemented in-game Codex will let players explore lore, creatures, environments, and key characters without needing to keep external notes.

The development team has made it clear that community feedback played a major role in shaping the final release. Since entering early access, the game has steadily evolved through major updates that added content and refined the overall experience. According to the developers, the October launch reflects that collaborative process and represents the culmination of the work done over the past stretch of development.

Isaac Childres praised the final result, saying the adaptation stays true to the original board game while also improving onboarding and user experience for both new and returning players. Snapshot Games CEO Julian Gollop described the project as highly ambitious, pointing to the depth of its systems and the expectations of a dedicated fanbase. Game Director Hristo Petkov added that player feedback was crucial in improving onboarding, UX, systems, and overall polish throughout early access.

For strategy fans, tabletop veterans, and co-op players looking for a deep campaign-driven RPG, Frosthaven’s full PC launch looks set to deliver the most feature-rich version of the game so far. After a lengthy early access period shaped by community input, the complete release arrives on October 15 with the full campaign, all heroes, and a host of improvements designed to make the frozen adventure more accessible, more polished, and more rewarding.
