Kotaku (don’t click the link if you don’t want to see spoilers) has put up a list of various winners of Spike TV’s 2007 Video Game Awards show. Some of the choices seem extremely odd to me…

- Super Mario Galaxy isn’t even in the running for game of the year. Ok, I don’t have a Wii, I don’t have Super Mario Galaxy, but come on, it’s the second best rated game of all time on GameRankings.com. I have played Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, and The Orange Box and while they are all excellent games deserving of being game of the year, I don’t see why Super Mario Galaxy shouldn’t be on the list, as well.
- Why the hell is there a “Most Addictive Game Fueled by Dew” category? Seriously, what the hell does that mean? Why is Wii Sports in that category…I mean I can understand Halo 3 with it’s Mountain Dew Game Fuel thing…but come on.
- Speaking of Wii Sports…didn’t that come out in 2006? Yes, yes it did. So…did they just ran out of games or something?
- Bioshock beat out The Orange Box in the Game of the Year category and Best Xbox 360 category, but The Orange Box beat out Bioshock in the Best PC Game category. How does that work? Was the game play for both games so vastly different on the other platforms?
