Square Enix has updated the demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with the “Dawn of a New Era in Junon” feature, available via PlayStation Store, adding to the previous “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” demo. The free update introduces characters – Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII – to new setting Junon which includes an underwater reactor and offers players a chance to explore a section of the game’s massive world, encountering treasures, utilizing the new Item Transmuter, and engaging in Combat Assignment missions.

This two-part demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is invaluable in preparing for the full game’s global release. Upon completing the first part “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim,” players are given the opportunity to either skip this part in the full game or to replay it. Additionally, players receive the Kupo Charm and Survival Set as incentives.

However, players should note that save data from the “Dawn of a New Era in Junon” cannot be carried over to the full game due to alterations for a condensed play experience. This section allows fans and newcomers to try new exploration methods and witness character dynamics in combat. An automatic demo patch fixing minor graphical issues and making other minor adjustments is also available.
