Onkyo, the renowned audio brand from Japan is selling a unique edition of NieR Automata wines, version 1.1a, priced at JPY 12,000 ($79.80) per bottle. The exclusive wine has been aged to the sounds of the NieR Automata original soundtrack, featuring different playlists for each bottle, which consumers can access via the company’s Twitter account. As a bonus, customers will receive two limited-edition coasters and a specially-designed Lunar Tear wine glass with each purchase.
The audio brand is also offering a paid wine tasting event at its Akihabara store. The tasting, priced at JPY 1,000 ($6.65), provides an opportunity for enthusiasts to sample both NieR Automata wines. Attendees will also be given two coasters showcasing the YoRHa symbol. As part of the experience, customers can witness Onkyo’s unique music-infusion method, where the wine barrel is fitted with speakers to immerse the liquid with sound waves from the game’s soundtrack.
The NieR Automata version 1.1a wine is influenced by the acclaimed video game, NieR Automata, which is available on several platforms including PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.
