Atlus has been posting daily videos about different demons in their Japanese version of SMT V Vengeance, with the most recent one featuring Tyrant Mephisto. Initially, players could only access Mephisto by purchasing his $2.99 add-on, but in the definitive version of the game, players can access him immediately. However, to access this endgame character, players need to reference the methods in the DLC and locate both Tokyo Diet Building and Kamiyacho to find Doctor Nitta and Mephisto, and then defeat the Tyrant. Despite being around level 80, players will still find this challenge demanding.
The latest SMT V Vengeance video shows Nahobino summoning Mephisto, followed by a clip of an encounter with him. During the fight, Mephisto, showcases his Agibarion +7 attack and his Walpurgisnacht +9 dark attack.
The game, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, will be available on various platforms including Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024. Meanwhile, the original SMT V is already available on the Switch.
