SoMoGa has made a significant announcement after the launch of Lunar Silver Star Story Touch on Google Play early this year. The company revealed that it plans to release the 1993 Sega CD RPG, Vay on Steam for PC users this coming July. Originally, SoMoGa brought the classic RPG to the iOS App Store back in 2008, and the forthcoming version is expected to come with several new enhancements.
An examination of the Vay store page discloses that this 16-bit cult classic RPG, initially released in 1994, is set to return with a host of improvements. The storyline engages users with an account of a peaceful kingdom attacked on a protagonist’s wedding day and his bride-to-be abducted. The player is then tasked to cross the world and combat the menacing warfare machinery threatening to demolish it.
The re-released game comes with user-selectable difficulty levels catering to both newbies and seasoned RPG gamers, an engaging storyline, nearly ten minutes of animated cutscenes with both English and Japanese audio, over 100 enemies and about a dozen challenging bosses. For the explorative player, there are more than 90 extensive areas to uncover. It also features updated music that loops seamlessly, bluetooth controller support, and an auto-save function for incremental gameplay. Furthermore, the game entirely lacks any microtransactions and is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX platforms.
