Limited Run Games, a publisher noted for its boutique physical game releases, is preparing for its LRG3 2024 showcase. Set to go live at 11:00 a.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET on June 20, the showcase will feature their latest projects and can be viewed via Twitch and YouTube. The LRG3 showcases have previously offered surprise game announcements along with detailing their physical releases; the 2023 event covered a broad selection from Super Famicom survival horror classic Clock Tower’s enhanced port to physical releases of games like Tiger Heli and Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution.
Last year’s event was marked by unexpected news, such as WayForward’s partnership with Limited Run Games on the Clock Tower project, where they used the Carbon Engine to upgrade the original game with new features. Other noteworthy announcements included plans for the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game soundtracks on vinyl and Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for Switch. Viewers also caught a glimpse of Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, the spiritual successor to the infamous CD-i Zelda games.
