Next Month Marks the Arrival of Final Fantasy XVI on PC

Square Enix has confirmed the launch of the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI on September 17, 2024. A demo is now available on platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, allowing users to experience the game’s prologue and consequently transfer their progress to the full version. Additionally, the game release will include a Standard Edition and a Complete Edition, the latter of which includes the “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” DLC available at launch.

Set in the high fantasy land of Valisthea, Final Fantasy XVI was first released for PlayStation 5 in June 2023. The game spotlights towering structures called Mothercrystals that spread aether, a magic source around which societies have grown. The game universe features powerful entities called Eikons, with the main character, Clive Rosfield, engaging with the sinister Eikon named Ifrit.
