These leaders are entrusted with a significant role to shape the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, defining its creative ambitions and strategies for enduring expansion. The newly assembled leadership team is comprised of Martin Schelling, Jean Guesdo, and Francois de Billy.

Performing as the Head of Assassin’s Creed Brand, Martin Schelling shoulders responsibility for the brand’s overarching strategy and its long-term vision. Martin carries a wealth of experience in production and an intimate knowledge of Assassin’s Creed, honed through his previous roles in the development of seminal titles such as Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Prior to this position, Martin had served as Ubisoft’s Chief Production Officer, where he was instrumental in redefining company-wide development processes.

Taking on the role of Head of Content for Assassin’s Creed Brand is Jean Guesdo. In this capacity, Jean will be tasked with directing its creative course, assisting individual games, and charting the franchise’s future, all while remaining true to its fundamental DNA. Jean’s tenure at Ubisoft reaches back to the inception of the original game in 2007, demonstrating a clear understanding of and commitment to the franchise. Notably, his leadership as creative director on Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag stands him in good stead for this new role.

The final appointee is Francois de Billy, who steps in as the Head of Production Excellence for Assassin’s Creed Brand. His tenure will see the introduction of more refined and efficient production practices across the franchise. Well-regarded in-house for advancing streamlined processes and reducing complications in complex production workflows, Francois’s experience includes serving as production director for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Both Guesdo and Billy have earlier worked jointly on multiple notable Assassin’s Creed games, their synergy expected to further enhance the future endeavors of the brand. Over the forthcoming weeks, they will transition formally into this new team, joining forces with Andree-Anne Boisvert, responsible for cross-brand initiatives and technological excellence, and Lionel Hiller, Vice President of brand and go-to-market strategy. Together, the newly constituted team aims to navigate Assassin’s Creed towards an innovative and ambitious new era.
